We are actively exploring changes to our biggest routes for 2027: the Growler, the Gran, the Geysers, and the Medio. The hope is to simplify a few things and put you in front of even more of the scenery that makes this place what it is. Nothing is decided. We may land on something new; we may land back where we started, and either outcome is on the table. But if we do make changes, there's a good chance they'll affect which route you choose.
That's the whole problem. Asking you to commit to a route while the map is still an open question doesn't make sense for you, and it doesn't make sense for us to dam up a potential torrent of change requests when we make a big reveal--our registration team would not appreciate that. Not one bit.
So we're going to push registration for Levi's GranFondo out another month.
Course changes are not a matter of drawing a new line on a map, which is exactly why this takes time to evaluate. They ripple into different corners of Sonoma County and the agencies that oversee them. They move start times. They move aid stations. They change where emergency support has to sit and how fast it can reach you. There are more moving parts than we're going to bore you with here, and we need to work through all of them before we can tell you anything worth acting on.
One thing isn't in question: the center of our universe remains the Town Green in Windsor, California, and we'll see you there on April 24, 2027.
In the meantime, if you've been watching your inbox for an access code, don't panic. Nothing has gone out. We'll update you on our progress in the coming weeks.
