This one's simple. The Family Ride is 8 miles and about 100 feet of climbing — a casual, slow-roll parade through Windsor that showcases Sonoma County's love for the bike and how it brings the community together. This is not a race. It's a celebration.

Your Start

The Family Ride starts at 9:00 AM — one hour after the mass start for all other routes. This is intentional. You've got time to grab breakfast, soak in the atmosphere, and watch the other riders roll out before it's your turn.

Route Navigation

This is important: the Family Ride course is not marked with arrows. The ride will be led in parade fashion by guides from Sunday Funday Windsor Ride who know the route. As long as you're with the group, you'll have no trouble finding your way. But if you don't start on time at 9:00 AM, you will not be with the group, and you will not know where to go. Be on time.

Bike Bedazzling

Before you roll out, swing by the Blue Tailed Skinks booth and hit up the Bike Bedazzling station. Streamers, decorations, the works — dress up your bike and add an element of fun to the parade. The kids will love it. You might too.

Timing Tags & Bib Numbers

At packet pickup you will receive a flexible tyvek number plate to place on your back, with two tear-off tabs: one for your post-ride meal and one for your post-ride beverage. If you are under 21, you will not have a free beverage ticket. If you registered for free through our U18 program, you will not have a meal ticket and must purchase one separately on-site.

One Last Thing

This is the most fun you'll have on two wheels all year. Show up on time, show up together, and enjoy the ride.

See you in Windsor.
