If you've ever set an alarm for some ungodly hour to watch the best in the world suffer up a European mountain, this one's for you.
This summer, Skipstone is opening their estate for The Grand Tours Collection — two days built around the two races that turned a lot of us into cyclists in the first place. Good roads, good food, good wine, the race on the screen, and the kind of people you'd want next to you while you watch it. All of it in support of the King Ridge Foundation — the same cause you've been showing up for at Levi's GranFondo.
We didn't pick these two Saturdays at random, either. Each one lands on the day its race tends to crack wide open.
We'll roll out for a morning ride through Alexander Valley, then settle in for French-inspired fare, Skipstone estate wines, and the race itself — and we picked the day on purpose. July 25 is the second summit finish on Alpe d'Huez, the stage where this year's Tour is very likely won and lost. No processional. Just the mountain sorting everyone out while you've got a glass in hand and good company around you.

We may have saved the best for last. September 12 is the Vuelta's queen stage, and it finishes on the Collado del Alguacil — 8.3 kilometers averaging nearly 10%, with pitches that kick past 20%, the only Categoría Especial climb in the whole race. More than 5,000 meters of climbing crammed into a single day, and the last true mountain standing between the contenders and Granada. If the red jersey is going to change hands, this is where it happens. Three weeks of racing, settled on one savage slope. We'll ride Alexander Valley in the morning, then trade France for Spain — Spanish-inspired cooking, Skipstone wines, and the race tearing itself apart on the screen while we eat.

Here's the catch with European racing — both stages finish in the morning our time, hours before we'll be pouring the first glass. So we'll be watching on a delay: every bit as gripping, just time-shifted. Which means the result will already be loose in the world, waiting to ambush you. Do yourself a favor and go dark. Mute the group chats, skip the cycling headlines, steer clear of that one friend who can never help themselves. Show up, sit down, and let it unfold like you've got no idea how it ends. The discipline pays off — we promise.
Each ticket covers the full day — the morning ride and the afternoon's food, wine, and race viewing. If you can only make part of it, reach out and we'll sort something out. Space is genuinely limited, so don't sit on it.
Every dollar goes to the King Ridge Foundation — the kids, the bikes, the programs you already help us fund. This is just a more delicious way to do it.
Hope to see you on the roads, and at the table.
Sincerely,
The cast and crew of Skipstone, Levi's GranFondo, King Ridge Foundation, and Bike Monkey
