In 2009 we created Levi’s GranFondo. Then we created the Growler. Next we added a purse. Then we tripled it. Now, for the first time since the loss of the Amgen Tour of California, Levi’s GranFondo will offer a live broadcast of the final hours of the Growler as competitors from at least eleven countries compete for their share of a $156,000 purse while the world watches.
Ride in person • Watch at the festival • Watch on YouTube
Our brand new live broadcast is in partnership with Skipstone, Sonagi, the Town of Windsor, MediaMotos, and BCC Live. The race coverage will be featured on large-screen displays right in the heart of Windsor, California at our GranFondo festival with live music, food, and more than 30 vendors!
If you’re not in-person, you can still watch the race coverage live on YouTube from anywhere in the world. Coverage begins on race-day at 11:00AM Pacific time just as the lead group is about to reach the deciding leg of the Growler, through the canyons beneath the largest geothermal production site in the world, aptly named The Geysers.
Our live broadcast will be announced by professional commentators Matt Stephens and Hannah Walker who will be present in Windsor, California for all of the festivities leading up to the event.
The entirety of this effort is a monster production for all of us here at Levi’s GranFondo, and we’re excited for this transformative moment in not only our event’s history, but for road cycling in the United States.
We will bring you the first live broadcast of any long-distance road race in North America since 2019, and is a milestone for road bike racing in the U.S. With that said, we need your help...
VOLUNTEER:
We need you now more than ever before!
SPECTATE:
Our festival will feature vendors from within and outside of the industry. Check out our vendor list to see who will be there. Our new Official Eyewear partner, Zenni Optical will be giving away FREE shades to the public, and offering free eye screenings at the Windsor Town Green.
PARTICIPATE:
The new model for Levi’s GranFondo covers the entire spectrum of road-going cyclists, and allows you to participate for FREE in our Family Fondo route, or as a participant in any route under the age of 23. You can also register to ride any one of our longer timed routes as an amateur participant, and enjoy a fully supported ride with aid stations and sweeping views of the beautiful Sonoma County landscape.
FUNDRAISE:
Since inception, we have helped direct fundraising efforts for King Ridge Foundation which to-date has donated more than $3.5 million to at-risk youth and acute community based initiatives. In fact for one of our largest beneficiaries, the support of Levi’s GranFondo has ensured that more than 5,000 kids (you read that right FIVE THOUSAND KIDS) have received life-changing services since we started our mission in 2009. You can help fundraise for these causes today. Click here for more information.
