Chad Haga discovered his passion for cycling as a teenager but truly immersed himself in the sport during his college years at Texas A&M. After graduating, he pursued racing full-time, starting with Optum Pro Cycling and breaking into the ProTour through the 2013 Tour of California. His career faced a major setback in 2016 when he suffered life-threatening injuries in a head-on collision during training in Spain. Despite enduring over 90 stitches and extensive recovery, Haga made an inspiring comeback, going on to help Tom Dumoulin win the 2017 Giro d’Italia and securing his own victory in the 2019 Giro’s final time trial. In 2024, he transitioned to gravel racing, earning podium finishes at The Traka 360 and Unbound Gravel. Now, he continues to thrive as a gravel racer, ready to tackle new challenges like the Growler!
