Hugo Drechou is the reigning French National XCM champion, a two-time winner of the prestigious Roc d’Azur, Drechou has excelled in cross-country Olympic (XCO) and marathon (XCM) disciplines throughout his career. In 2024, he transitioned to gravel racing, achieving notable victories, including the overall title at the Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder—a grueling five-day, 350-mile race through challenging terrain.
Drechou began cycling at the age of 16 and quickly rose through the ranks of competitive mountain biking. Over his career, he has raced for top teams such as BUFF MEGAMO TEAM and MASSI, earning numerous accolades. Seeking new challenges and experiences, Drechou embraced gravel racing to explore new destinations and race formats. In addition to his Oregon Trail triumph, he secured victory at the Alpine Gravel Challenge in the UCI Gravel World Series.
In 2025, Drechou is competing in the U.S.-based Life Time Grand Prix series alongside his partner Axelle Dubau-Prévôt, a rising star in gravel racing. The couple forms the Numéro 31 par Café du Cycliste team. Based in southern France when not traveling, Drechou continues to inspire with his adventurous spirit and dedication to cycling’s evolving disciplines.
