Kate Courtney's path to the top of professional mountain bike racing ran right through the same NorCal High School MTB League as many of today's shining stars. The 2018 UCI MTB World Champion has gone on to become one of the most decorated riders of her generation — and in 2025, she made her Leadville Trail 100 MTB debut and promptly demolished a ten-year-old women's course record, finishing in 6:48:55. But Kate's ambitions extend well beyond the finish line. Through her nonprofit SheSends, she's actively working to open doors for the next generation of young women in cycling — because she knows better than anyone what it means to have the right support at the right time.
