Petr Vakoč is a Czech cyclist celebrated for his adaptability and achievements across road, mountain bike, and gravel racing. Hailing from Prague, he began cycling as a child, transitioning from mountain biking and cyclocross to over a decade of road racing, including eight years as a professional with top teams like Quick-Step Floors and Alpecin-Fenix.
Vakoč’s road career highlights include winning the Brabantse Pijl in 2016, the Czech National Road Race Championships in 2015, and contributing to team successes at the Tour de France. Following an inspiring recovery, he returned to racing before retiring from road cycling in 2021.
Since then, Vakoč has focused on off-road disciplines. He placed 7th at the Cape Epic MTB stage race in 2023 and excelled in gravel racing, finishing 2nd at Unbound Gravel in 2023 and winning The Traka in 2024. Known for his tactical acumen and resilience, he continues to compete at the highest level, aiming to improve on his podium finishes in major gravel events while maintaining his passion for road racing.
