Sarah Sturm, a professional cyclist and graphic designer based in Durango, Colorado, has made a name for herself in the off-road cycling world with her unique blend of talent, creativity, and joy for the sport. She discovered cycling in college, where it was more popular than traditional ball sports, and began her career on a local pro mountain bike team. After stepping away from racing to focus on her graphic design career, she found her way back through cyclocross, excelling in single-speed events and earning multiple national titles. In 2019, Sarah signed her first pro contract with Specialized and transitioned into gravel racing, winning her first major event at the Belgian Waffle Ride.

Since then, Sarah has achieved podium finishes at some of the world’s most prestigious races, including Unbound Gravel (3rd), Leadville Trail 100 MTB (2nd), The Traka 360 (2nd), and the Lifetime Grand Prix series (3rd/4th overall in 2022 and 2023). She’s also competed at Levi’s GranFondo, showcasing her versatility across disciplines.

Off the bike, Sarah is a passionate graphic designer who incorporates her creativity into custom kits and bike designs. She also mentors young athletes at Fort Lewis College and advocates for joy and balance in competitive sports. Known for her vibrant personality and colorful kits, Sarah inspires others by redefining success in cycling—not just through results but by fostering connection, creativity, and fun in everything she does.
